QB Training 2015

This 1 hour session with John Charles will provide quarterbacks with position specific mental and mechanical training on and off the field. Our ultimate goal is developing and building the “complete quarterback”. To achieve this objective, we utilize several different methods to achieve universal fundamentals. The practice field is a place where quarterbacks are challenged and encouraged to train and practice without fear of mistake or failure. There are no repercussions. This is also a great opportunity for Quarterbacks to bring their own wide receivers, tight ends, and running backs to further build upon their timing and chemistry. The WRs, TEs, and RBs will not receive position specific instruction and must register individually for admission through our website by printing and filling out the waiver form prior to workout.

Areas of emphasis:

Ball handling
Maintaining a wide balance base
Dropback footwork
Relaxed upper body, fast lower body
Throwing mechanics
Consistent throwing motion and follow through
Throwing on the run
Understanding defensive coverage and leverage
Route combination and read progression

Any given training session could include:

Speed ladder
Medicine balls
Bungee cords
Weighted footballs
Shoulder strengthening tools
Video camera to record & correct mechanics on sight
